Stampley’s We Are Work­ing for the King was pub­lished in Law­rence­burg, Ten­nes­see, in 1915.

We spe­cu­late he might be Ro­bert Cov­ing­ton Stamp­ley (1879–1959), who is bur­ied in Red­land, Bos­si­er Parish, Lou­isi­ana.
