Educated at St. Olaf Coll­ege and the Unit­ed Nor­we­gian Lu­ther­an sem­in­a­ry, Solberg was or­dained in 1900. He served at church­es in Ver­mill­ion and Yank­ton, South Da­ko­ta; Zi­on Evan­gel­i­cal Lu­ther­an Church, Chi­ca­go, Il­li­nois (1906-11); Beth­le­hem Church, Min­ne­a­po­lis, Min­ne­so­ta (1911-18); Ma­dison, South Da­ko­ta; and St. Paul’s, Min­ne­a­po­lis. From 1937 to 1945, he worked as an evan­gel­ist for the Evan­gel­i­cal Lu­ther­an Church. His works include:
