Biography

Smith be­gan his min­is­try at Li­ver­pool, Eng­land, in 1827, then passed on to Ply­mouth, and in 1842, to Tri­ni­ty Cha­pel, Pop­lar, London.

He al­so served as sec­re­ta­ry of the Con­gre­ga­tion­al Un­ion.

While in Ply­mouth, he com­piled a sup­ple­ment to WattsPsalms and Hymns.
