Biography

Slenk was edu­cat­ed at Cal­vin Col­lege, Grand Ra­pids, Mi­chi­gan, and Ohio State Uni­vers­ity, Co­lum­bus (PhD dis­ser­ta­tion: The Hu­gue­not Psal­ter in the Low Coun­tries).

He taught at Tri­ni­ty Christ­ian Col­lege, Pa­los Heights, Il­li­nois, and Cal­vin Col­lege (1967–95). He was al­so or­gan­ist and mu­sic di­rect­or at Wood­lawn Christ­ian Re­formed Church in Grand Ra­pids (1970–93).
