Biography

Shewell gra­du­at­ed from the Moo­dy Bi­ble Ins­ti­tute, Chi­ca­go, Il­linois, in 1920. A Moody school month­ly des­cribed her as be­ing from South Ca­ro­li­na.

As of 1922, she was in Green­ville, South Ca­ro­li­na, teach­ing in one of the large cotton-mill vill­ages, and hold­ing a week­ly Bi­ble class.
