Biography

At age 26, Shenk was or­dained at the Sa­lem con­gre­ga­tion near Eli­da, Ohio, by Bi­shop George Bren­ne­man.

Ten years lat­er, Bi­shop Ab­ra­ham Shank of Broa­dway, Vir­gin­ia, or­dained him as bi­shop for the Pike and Salem, Ohio, Men­non­ite con­gre­ga­tions. Shenk served these and oth­er con­gre­ga­tions for ov­er half a cen­tu­ry.
