Biography

Robert was the hus­band of Mary El­len Place (1848–1901) and Ol­ive Woods (mar­ried 1903).

A min­is­ter, he ap­pears in re­cords at va­ri­ous lo­ca­tions in Min­ne­so­ta, Io­wa, Il­li­nois, and Mis­sou­ri. He was pas­tor of the Bap­tist Church in Os­ce­o­la, Io­wa, around 1873, and of the Ea­gle Grove Bap­tist Church, Ea­gle Grove, Io­wa, Oc­to­ber 1894 to No­vem­ber 20, 1898.
