Sedding studied under architect G. E. Street, and built or restored several churches in western England. He also played the organ at St. Mary the Virgin, Crown Street, Soho, and was Honorary Precentor at St. Raphael Homes in Bristol.
He is known as the editor of several carol collections, and as composer of musical settings for some of John Neale’s translations from the Greek.
