Biography

In 1562, Schmid suc­ceed­ed Franz Durst as or­gan­ist at the ca­thed­ral in Strass­burg, and served three de­cades there.

In 1592, he ac­cept­ed a po­si­tion at Jung Sankt Peter Kirche, but died short­ly there­af­ter.
