Biography

Alvin was the hus­band of El­vi­ra Free­man (mar­ried 1848).

A mem­ber of the Me­tho­dist Epis­co­pal Troy Con­fer­ence, he was well known in east­ern New York. He served a number of pas­to­rates:

He was al­so State Lec­tur­er of the New York Tem­per­ance So­cie­ty (1884–86).
