Buried: Le­on­ia Ce­me­te­ry, Le­on­ia, Florida. Some sourc­es give his sur­name as Rid­dles, but his tomb­stone clear­ly shows Rid­dle.

Biography

Edwin was the son of An­drew Ben­ja­min Rid­dle and An­na Re­bec­ca Hol­land, half-bro­ther of Ag­nes Rid­dle, and hus­band of Ma­ry Eth­el Pa­get (mar­ried De­cem­ber 24, 1915, Holmes Coun­ty, Flo­ri­da).

A minister, he was liv­ing in Dar­ling­ton, Flo­ri­da, in 1923. That year, his song O Wan­der­ing Sheep, Come Home was published in The Gos­pel Way.

Riddle rep­re­sent­ed Wal­ton Coun­ty in the Flo­ri­da House of Rep­re­sen­ta­tives in 1941 and 1961, and served in the Flo­ri­da State Sen­ate in the 1940s. He was im­peached and ex­pelled from the House of Rep­re­sen­ta­tives in 1961.
