Ravenscroft be­came a chor­is­ter at Chi­ches­ter Ca­thed­ral, Eng­land, in 1594. He al­so served at St. Paul’s Ca­thed­ral as a chor­is­ter, and wrote mu­sic for ac­tors there. From 1618-22, he was the mu­sic mas­ter for Christ’s Hos­pi­tal. Some of his work may be found in:
