Introduction

Vienna was the daugh­ter of Thad­de­us Mor­rell and Su­san­na C. Ay­er, and wife of Gor­am Par­sons Ram­sey, a Free­will Bap­tist min­is­ter.

In 1885, she was prin­ci­pal of the La­dies’ De­part­ment at Hills­dale College, Mi­chi­gan. By 1887, she was liv­ing in Maine.
