Biography

Robert was the son of Ro­bert Jones Pow­ell and Mar­tha Li­cil­ty Hob­son, and hus­band of Mar­garet Hand.

A farm­er and mem­ber of the Church of Christ, he was in­volved with Frank­lin Ei­land and oth­er hymn writ­ers in cen­tral Tex­as.
