Published ref­er­enc­es to Pe­ter­son show his giv­en name on­ly as Aug. The full name might have been Au­gust or Au­gus­tus.

Copyright re­cords show him in Crook­ston, Min­ne­so­ta, in 1908. The Lu­ther­an Com­pan­ion in 1913 stat­ed he was liv­ing in Das­sel, Min­ne­so­ta, and was the bro­ther of Pro­fess­or Al­bin O. Pe­ter­son of Wa­hoo, Ne­bras­ka.
