Biography

Nee was the son of Ni Weng-hsiu and Lin He-Ping. He is re­mem­bered as a church lead­er, teach­er and Chris­tian au­thor.

He came to Christ at age 17, and in 1922, or­gan­ized meet­ings in Fu­zhou that ma­ny con­sid­er the be­gin­ning of lo­cal Chi­nese church­es.

After the Com­mu­nists came to pow­er, Nee was per­se­cut­ed and im­pri­soned for his faith. He spent the last 20 years of his life in pri­son.
