Myers, a class­i­cist and po­et, was ed­u­cat­ed at Chel­ten­ham and Trin­i­ty Coll­ege, Cam­bridge. He was a Fel­low and Coll­ege Lec­tur­er at Trin­i­ty Coll­ege (1865-9), In­spect­or of Schools (1862-1901), and a char­ter mem­ber of the So­ci­e­ty for Psy­chic­al Re­search. His works in­clude:
