Myers, a classicist and poet, was educated at Cheltenham College, Goucestershire, and Trinity College, Cambridge. He was a Fellow and College Lecturer at Trinity College (1865-69), Inspector of Schools (1862-1901), and a charter member of the Society for Psychical Research. His works include:
