June 26, 1906, while prin­ci­pal of Glad­stone Av­e­nue Pub­lic School, To­ron­to, Ca­na­da; the next morn­ing the stu­dents wore ma­ple leaves to school.

Mount Plea­sant Cem­e­te­ry, To­ron­to, Can­a­da.

Muir moved to Can­a­da as a child, and earned his BA de­gree from Queen’s Un­i­ver­si­ty, Kings­ton, On­tar­io. He then taught school, main­ly in the To­ron­to area.
