Born: July 28, 1573, Pegau, Germany.
Died: November 14, 1613, Leipzig, Germany, of typhus.
Johannes was the son of Heironymus Mühlmann (or Mülmann), pastor at Pegau.
He studied at the Universities of Leipzig (MA January 1597) and Jena, then was for some time Saturday preacher at St. Thomas’ Church in Leipzig.
In 1599, he was appointed diaconus of St. Wenzel Church in Naumburg, and in 1604 pastor at Laucha an der Unstrut. At the end of 1604, he became archdiaconus of St. Nicholas Church at Leipzig, and in 1607, was appointed Professor of Theology at the University (DD 1612).
If you know where to get a good picture of Mühlmann (head-and-shoulders, at least 200×300 pixels), would you ?
