Biography

Morell was edu­cat­ed at Ho­mer­ton Col­lege, Camb­ridge, for the Con­gre­ga­tion­al min­is­try.

Around 1800, he be­came pas­tor of a Con­gre­ga­tion­al church at St. Ne­ots, Hunt­ing­don­shire, where he stayed un­til 1821, when he was ap­point­ed di­vi­ni­ty tu­tor at Wy­mond­ley Aca­de­my (sub­se­quent­ly moved to Lon­don, and lat­er known as the Co­ward Aca­de­my). He kept this ap­point­ment the rest of his life.

Works

Morell’s Stu­dies of His­to­ry was pub­lished in a ser­ies of vol­umes; and his Chris­tian Pas­tor (a po­em in three books) in 1809.
