Moore’s father, also named Henry, was a Presbyterian minister in Plymouth, England. Henry the younger was educated at Philip Doddridge’s Academy at Northampton. He served as minister at Modbury, Devon (1757-88), then at Liskeard, Cornwall. His works include:
