Introduction

Born: 1756, Groß­hen­ners­dorf (now part of the town of Herrn­hut), Sax­ony.

Died: 1790, of tu­ber­cu­lo­sis.

Biography

Educated at the Mo­ra­vi­an Theo­lo­gic­al Col­lege at Bar­by, Mill­er went to Ful­neck, Eng­land, in 1781, and in 1788 to Pud­sey.

His orig­in­al hymns and trans­la­tions were con­trib­ut­ed to the 1789 Mo­ra­vi­an Hymn Book.
