Biography

Thomas was the son of George T. Mc­Niel and Su­san Fran­ces Wall­ace, bro­ther of Sharp Mc­Niel, and hus­band of Lau­ra Waye Rain­wa­ter. Note: Sho­wal­ter, page 291, in­cor­rect­ly gives Tho­mas’ in­i­tials as L. L.

He was a black­smith, far­mer, lum­ber mer­chant, and ama­teur mu­si­cian.

His tune Point Vi­cen­te was pub­lished in Dall­as, Tex­as, and Dal­ton, Geor­gia, in 1898.
