Biography

Matilene was daugh­ter of Os­car Jones and Lot­tie Grif­fin, and wife of Odell (Bus­ter) Mc­Guire (mar­ried 1952).

She be­gan pi­ano les­sons at an ear­ly age, and was ac­tive in dra­ma club and speech in her high school years.

She gra­du­at­ed from Freed-Har­de­man Uni­ver­si­ty, Hen­der­son, Ten­nes­see, and worked in gov­ern­ment ser­vice for three de­cades.

She was a long time mem­ber of the Get­well Church of Christ in Mem­phis.
