Biography

Maurice was educated at Bangor Grammar School; Jesus College, Oxford (BA 1826); and New College, Oxford (MA 1829, BD 1837, DD 1840).

Ordained in 1827, he served as chaplain to All Souls’ College, Oxford (1837), and New College, Oxford (1858); curate near Llanrwst, Wales; curate at Kennington, Oxfordshire (1829–54); and vicar of Yarnton, Oxfordshire (1854–78).
