Oldest surviving son of John W. McManiman and Susan McLain, George changed his name to MacManiman around the time he and his wife, Emma Lavina Koyt, moved to Ohio. The rest of the family that stayed in New Jersey kept the name as McManiman until around the 1920s.
George served as a minister, and he and Emma were in living in Tiffin, Ohio, in 1879.
