Biography

Owen was the hus­band of Cla­ra Fran­ces Au­sher­man.

A mem­ber of the Me­tho­dist Epis­co­pal Church South, he wrote about 800 songs, and pub­lished nu­mer­ous books.

He was al­so a song lead­er for a num­ber of ev­an­gel­ists. One of his songs, dated 1906, was de­di­cat­ed to my co-la­bor­er, Ev­an­gel­ist G. B. Fade­ley.
