Died: Ap­ril 22, 1853, Stan­ley Hall (his bro­ther’s home), Glou­ces­ter­shire, Eng­land.

Biography

Lloyd taught Sun­day school in Ox­ford and Lon­don.

In 1810, he was ap­point­ed as one of the sec­re­ta­ries of the Brit­ish Sun­day School Un­ion. In 1816, he be­came con­nect­ed with the Re­li­gious Tract So­cie­ty.

He found­ed the Sun­day-School Teach­er’s Ma­ga­zine, and for some years ed­it­ed the Child’s Com­pan­ion.
