Lloyd taught at the Liverpool College of Music (1894-1900), became principal of the Liverpool Academy of Music in 1901, and served as musical editor for The Free Methodist (1898-1900). He played the organ at Simon’s Parish Church (1899); the UMF Church, Grove Street (1890); Brunswick Church (1891); St. John’s Wesleyan Church, Princes Park (1893-95); and Presbyterian churches in Canning Street (1897) and Sefton Park (1903-34).
