Phil was the son of Jer­ry Linds­ley. HIs wife’s name was Mit­tie.

He wrote most of the mu­sic­al ar­range­ments in Na­tion­al Ju­bi­lee Me­lo­dies (Nash­ville, Ten­nes­see: Na­tion­al Ba­ptist Pub­lish­ing Board, 1916).
