Biography

Harold was the son of Will­iam Hen­ry Lew­ars and Va­ler­ia M. Steck, and hu­sband of au­thor El­sie Sing­mas­ter.

He gra­du­ated from Get­tys­burg Col­lege in 1903, then taught Eng­lish there. He al­so con­duct­ed the Gettys­burg Or­a­to­rio So­cie­ty.
