Biography

Laurentius was the son of Herr Lorenz (or Laurenti), a burgess of Husum.

He entered the University of Rostock in 1681. A year and a half later, he went to Kiel to study music.

In 1684, he was appointed cantor and music director at the cathedral church in Bremen.
