Introduction

Biography

Fanny was the daugh­ter of Ow­en Pay­son Snow and Fran­ces Ea­ton Fay, and wife of Dr. Will­iam A. Knowl­ton.

She grew up in Brecks­ville, Ohio, and stu­died vio­lin un­der Jo­hann Beck. She was a well known lo­cal com­pos­er, and a found­er of the Cleve­land Mu­sic School Set­tle­ment.
