Kingsley played the organ at the Old South Church and Hol­lis Street Church in Bos­ton, Mas­sa­chu­setts. He also taught music at Gir­ard College in Phil­a­del­phia, Penn­syl­van­ia, served as music supervisor for public schools in Phil­a­del­phia, and compiled a number of music books, including:
