Biography

Johnson was edu­cat­ed at Tri­ni­ty Uni­ver­si­ty, San An­to­nio (BM) and Sy­ra­cuse Uni­ver­si­ty, New York (MM, PhD), and earned an as­so­ci­ate de­gree from the Am­er­ican Guild of Or­gan­ists.

He served as mu­sic de­part­ment chair at St. Ol­af Col­lege, North­field, Min­ne­so­ta; or­gan­ist at Sy­ra­cuse Uni­ver­si­ty; or­gan­ist and choir di­rect­or at Tri­ni­ty Epis­co­pal Ca­thed­ral, Phoe­nix, Ari­zo­na; and pro­fess­or of mu­sic at Ari­zo­na State Uni­ver­si­ty.
