Biography

Jekyll was a cho­ris­ter at West­min­ster Ab­bey, and lat­er or­gan­ist at St. Paul’s tem­po­ra­ry church in Kens­ing­ton, 1857; as­sist­ant or­gan­ist at West­min­ster Ab­bey (1860–75); Ac­ton Par­ish Church (1860); St. George’s, Ha­no­ver Square (1861–77); or­gan­ist and com­pos­er to the Cha­pels Roy­al, St. James’ Pal­ace and White­hall (1876–91).

He al­so re­ceived Queen Vic­to­ria’s Ju­bi­lee Me­dal.
