Biography

Hunter was edu­cat­ed at Mans­field Col­lege, Ox­ford, and be­came a Con­gre­ga­tion­al min­is­ter.

He served at York (1871), Hull (1882), and Tri­ni­ty Church, Glas­gow (1887). He moved to King’s Weigh House Cha­pel, Lon­don, in 1901, re­turn­ing to Tri­ni­ty, Glas­gow, three years later.

A break­down in health com­pelled him to re­sign in 1913.
