Biography

Hogan was edu­cat­ed at Tri­ni­ty Col­lege, Dub­lin (BA 1867, MA 1881). He was or­dained a dea­con in 1869, and priest in 1870.

He served as cur­ate of Tam­laght Fin­la­gan, Der­ry (1869–70); Kill­ow­en, Coun­ty Down (1870–73); cha­plain of Boyd Church, Bal­ly-Castle (1873); chap­lain to the Earle of Erne and in­cum­bent of Ho­ly Tri­ni­ty, Kin­aw­leyh (1873–82); and vic­ar of All Saints, Eg­lan­tine, Lis­burn (1883–1915).
