Biography

William was the son of Star­ling Van­div­er Hig­gins and Vir­gin­ia Flor­ida Wil­son.

He is remembered as a sing­er, song­writ­er, and sing­ing school teach­er.

He worked as an ed­it­or for the A. J. Sho­wal­ter Pub­lish­ing Com­pa­ny, and was its man­ager af­ter it be­came the Stamps-Bax­ter Pub­lish­ing Com­pa­ny.
