Born: May 28, 1844, York, Ohio (some sourc­es say Ath­ens Coun­ty).

Died: Oc­to­ber 16, 1916, Phi­la­del­phia, Penn­syl­van­ia.

Buried: Ar­ling­ton Na­tion­al Ce­me­te­ry, Ar­ling­ton, Vir­gin­ia. His head­stone in­di­cates he served in Com­pany C, 11th Io­wa In­fan­try, pre­sum­a­bly dur­ing the Am­er­ican ci­vil war.

Biography

Francis was the son of Good­year C. Hick­ok and Sar­ah Lang­don, and hus­band of Ma­ry M. Min­nie Rob­in­son (marr­ied 1873, Otoe Coun­ty, Ne­bras­ka).

Based on his child­ren’s births, Hick­ok, a min­is­ter, ap­par­ent­ly served in Ne­bras­ka Ci­ty, Hum­boldt, and St. Paul, Ne­bras­ka, in the 1870s and 1880s.
