Hall stu­died at Em­ma­nu­el Col­lege, Cam­bridge.

After tak­ing Ho­ly Or­ders, served at Haw­stead, Suf­folk; as cur­ate of Wal­tham-Ho­ly-Cross, Es­sex; pre­bend of Will­en­hall in the col­le­gi­ate church of Wol­ver­hamp­ton; Dean of Wor­ces­ter, and Bi­shop of Exe­ter (1629).
