Biography

Fanny was the daugh­ter of Ed­ward Marl­bo­rough Fitz­Gerald and Char­lotte Ju­lia Jeph­son. Her fa­ther died when she was eight years old, and she was brought up by a child­less Quak­er cou­ple.

She mar­ried Hen­ry Gui­ness Oc­to­ber 2, 1860, at the Princ­es Meet­ing House in Bath.
