Biography

Griswold served as rec­tor of Bris­tol, Rhode Island (1804–29). He be­came bi­shop of the East­ern Dio­cese of the Am­er­ican Ang­li­can Church in 1811, then bi­shop of Mas­sa­chu­setts. Dr. J. S. Stone pub­lished his mem­oirs.
