Samuel Greg (1804-1876)

Greg was ed­u­cat­ed by Dr. Lant Car­pen­ter in Bris­tol, and at Ed­in­burgh Un­i­ver­si­ty. He owned Low­erhouse Mill in Bol­ling­ton, near Mac­cles­field, and ad­dress­es he gave at serv­ices con­duct­ed for his work­ers were pub­lished post­hu­mous­ly in 1877 as A Lay­man’s Le­ga­cy. His other works in­clude:
