Granddaughter of a rab­bi and raised in an Or­tho­dox Jew­ish fam­i­ly, Green grew up in Ven­ice, Cal­i­for­nia. Af­ter col­lege, she worked in the gar­ment in­dus­try in Los An­ge­les, and for a while was in­volved in the drug cul­ture and in­ves­ti­gat­ing east­ern re­li­gions. She mar­ried mu­si­cian Keith Green, and in 1975, they came to Christ. They be­came in­volved in min­is­try work, and af­ter Keith’s death in 1982, her ho­ri­zons event­ua­lly ex­pand­ed to min­is­tries of na­tion­al and in­ter­na­tion­al scope. Her works in­clude:
