Gower moved with her family from Michigan to Colorado in 1871; their ranch was on the Cache la Poudre River. As an adult, she lived in Denver and wrote for the Rocky Mountain News. She founded the Denver Dumb Friends’ League, and was first Vice-President of Denver Woman’s Press Club. Her husband was John H. Gower. Her works include:
