Biography

Born in­to the Du­ren fa­mi­ly, Na­than­iel took the sur­name Gould to qual­i­fy for an in­he­ri­tance from an un­cle.

He lived in Bos­ton, Mas­sa­chu­setts, and taught sing­ing and pen­man­ship in New Eng­land.
