Biography

Gaddis was the son of Vine­yard M. Gad­dis and Ida O. Burch­fiel, and hus­band of Ida M. Mad­dron.

As a young man he had the un­ful­filled dream of be­ing an ev­an­gel­is­tic sing­er.

After teach­ing in the coun­ty schools for se­ver­al years, he spent the re­maind­er of his work­ing ca­reer with the Stok­ely-Van Camp can­ning in­dus­try in New­port.

He was a mem­ber of First Unit­ed Me­tho­dist Church in New­port.
