Biography

John, a min­is­ter, was the son of James Bald­win Foote and Ma­ry E. Harper, and hus­band of Ja­net Ann Mac­in­doe.

He and his bro­ther J. W. were ev­an­gel­ists based in Chi­ca­go, Il­li­nois, in the 1890s. In their ear­ly years, they were as­so­ci­at­ed with the Pres­by­te­ri­an church in Sa­li­na, Iowa. John’s obi­tu­a­ry states he spent about 10 years in ev­an­gel­is­tic work.
