Biography

Eugenia was the daugh­ter of Spen­cer Greer and Ad­e­line Jef­fer­ies, wife of John W. Floyd, Jr., and sis­ter of Tex­as state sen­at­or Will­iam Jef­fries Greer.

She moved with her fa­mi­ly from South Ca­ro­li­na to Tex­as around 1864. She was liv­ing in Gil­mer in 1913, ac­cord­ing to the obit­u­a­ry of her bro­ther, Will­iam Jef­fries Greer. She taught at the first school es­tab­lished in near­by Glen­wood, Tex­as.
